Prohibited Content & Behavior

Harassment or Bullying: Attacking, insulting, or threatening other users.
Hate Speech: Discriminatory language based on race, religion, gender, or any identity.
Spam: Repeated messages, advertisements, or irrelevant links.
Inappropriate Content: Explicit, violent, or offensive material.
Cheating Assistance: Sharing exam answers or helping others cheat on assessments.
Impersonation: Pretending to be another user, instructor, or admin.
Malicious Links: Sharing phishing, malware, or harmful websites.
Platform Misuse: Attempting to hack, exploit, or disrupt the chat system.

File Sharing Guidelines

Share lab screenshots, diagrams, and educational images only.
PDFs must be relevant educational material (max 5MB).
Do NOT share copyrighted material without permission.
Infected or suspicious files will result in immediate account suspension.

⚠️ Violation Consequences

The Virtual Lab team monitors all chat activity. Violations will result in:

1st Offense: Written warning and message removal
2nd Offense: Temporary chat ban (24-72 hours)
3rd Offense: Extended ban (7-30 days)
Severe Violations: Permanent ban from community chat and potential account suspension

Severe violations (threats, illegal content, harassment) may result in immediate permanent bans without prior warnings.

Your Rights

Privacy: Your chat messages are logged for moderation but not shared publicly.
Report Issues: You can report violations confidentially using the report button.
Appeal: You may appeal moderation decisions by contacting support.
Leave Anytime: You can stop using the chat feature at any time.
